Enhanced Job Safety
RED-E-DUCT improves safety by reducing the time and manpower required to complete underground electrical duct infrastructure, reducing or even eliminating the need for concrete form work (including steel form work for stub-ups and other locations), and cutting the time the trench is open. Since no solvents or epoxies are needed when connecting sections of PVC conduit, potential safety issues from harsh vapors are eliminated. (This is especially important in deep trench areas where workers may be required to wear respirators.)
With RED-E-DUCT, there is no need for scaffolding, tie offs or costly form work. RED-E-DUCT is engineered to “lift and set” in the exact location required with fewer workers working less hours exposed to potential hazards.
RED-E-DUCT improves jobsite safety in several ways:
- Less time and manpower required on the job means fewer days worked and less chance a jobsite mishap can occur
- Wood and steel form requirements are significantly reduced. Less chance workers will be cut or injured
- No steel reinforcement, bending, cutting or placing is required
- RED-E-DUCT joints do not require solvent welding. No concern over workers exposed to harsh vapors when installations are in confined areas (deep trench)
- Craft workers do not have to use or stand on ladders or pipe bridges when installing Stub-Ups
- Trenches may be immediately backfilled reducing open trench hazards
- Congestion at the work site is reduced
- No need for construction personnel to spend hours in the trench
