STUB UPS, STANDARD CONFIGURATIONS
Quickly achieve horizontal-to-vertical direction changes with more precision and less formwork. RED-E-DUCT Stub-Ups save significant construction time while enhancing worker safety by reducing time spent in the trench. Construction teams can complete work faster, at a lower installed cost, compressing 30 days of work into as little as one day, compared to traditional conduit placement and concrete encasement.
Standard Sweep Radius: 36”
Conduit Types: RTRC Fiberglass, Rigid Metal, or PVC
Conduit Sizes: 4” or 6”
Joint Types: Varies with Configuration
Use stub-ups to quickly achieve horizontal-to-vertical direction changes.
Note: Extended base versions available in 2- and 3-row stub-ups. Joint and conduit types vary depending on project/application specifications.
Elbow Material Type
Various elbow materials are available for use in RED-E-DUCT stub-ups. Standard materials include, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Rigid Galvanized Steel (RGS), or Reinforced Thermosetting Resin Conduit (RTRC)Fiberglass. Non-standard materials are available upon request.
Top Termination Options
The top termination of a RED-E-DUCT stub-up typically includes a coupling for interfacing with vertical conduits installed in a cast-in-place riser. Standard Top Termination options are shown below:
Elbow materials adhere to the following standards:
- For PVC conduits: NEMA TC-2, TC-6, TC-8 (Conduit), TC3 (Fittings), Federal Specification WC1094A, U.L. 651 Specifications, and shall be rated for use with 90° conductors in accordance with Article 352 of the latest National Electrical Code (NEC).
- For RTRC Fiberglass conduits: NEMA TC-14 Reinforced Thermosetting Resin Conduit (RTRC) Fiberglass and UL 2420 Standard for BG (BelowGround) Fiberglass conduit.
- For Rigid Metal Conduit: UL6 Standard for Safety Electrical Rigid Metal Conduit and ANSI1 Standard for Electrical Rigid Steel Conduit (ERSC).
